Our beautiful oceans are sending out a quiet SOS. Due to environmental destruction and global warming, Japan's seas are facing rising sea levels and coastal erosion, gradually altering their appearance. What's more, the vital seaweed fields, essential yet often unseen parts of the marine ecosystem, are under threat. We can't just sit back and watch. That's where the "SAVE THE OCEAN" project comes in.
"SAVE THE OCEAN" is an NPO that's all about recognizing the crisis facing Japan's seas, including the crucial seaweed fields, and taking action to preserve these rich marine environments for the future. We understand that without the thriving "forests of the sea" surrounding our lands, we'd miss out on the benefits of abundant marine resources, and the deterioration of aquatic environments would only accelerate.
Our initiatives are diverse, from direct ocean conservation efforts like coastal clean-ups and seaweed regeneration projects to activities aimed at changing public perception, such as environmental education programs. We're especially keen on working with kids, their families, and athletes from various fields to engage in efforts to protect our immediate surroundings.
